TRANSPARENCY
TRIBE-X WORLD is built from traceable research. This page records where our information, geographic data and visual material come from, and how each source may be used.
We research broadly. We only ingest or reproduce material when its reuse rights are verified, and we write our own editorial descriptions.
RIGHTS STANDARD
Reuse rights are verified for the intended TRIBE-X use. Attribution is retained whenever the licence requires it.
The source may help verify facts or lead us to primary material, but its content is blocked from production until rights are cleared.
Rights are incompatible, restricted or unclear. The material is not copied into TRIBE-X.
NORTH AMERICA
Initial sources used to identify and verify Indigenous peoples and nations for the first TRIBE-X regional dataset.
Official federal tribal information and geographic data. Individual datasets are checked for U.S. Government-work status and third-party exclusions before ingestion.
Authoritative federal recognition notices used to verify current legal recognition status.
Official First Nations location data used for names, identifiers and geographic placement where the dataset is covered by the Open Government Licence – Canada.
Authoritative reference for Indigenous peoples, self-designations and communities. Specific INPI material remains research-only until the applicable reuse terms are verified.
Used as a discovery and cross-reference tool for factual leads, alternate names and underlying citations. Wikipedia prose is not copied into TRIBE-X.
* “GREEN” applies to the verified dataset or work, not automatically to every photograph, logo, map or third-party asset appearing on the same website.
MAP & PLATFORM
Open-source mapping library powering the interactive TRIBE-X globe.
Satellite imagery displayed as the current globe basemap. Map attribution is also displayed directly in the interactive map.
EDITORIAL STANDARD
As TRIBE-X grows, every published Nation/People entry will carry traceable source records. This page will remain the public index for dataset licences, attribution obligations, methodology and platform credits.
Photographs, illustrations and historical maps are checked independently from factual data. A source being approved for data does not automatically clear its media.
